Eclipse

It had been a while, a season of uncertainty as the attacks from the creatures encroached the remaining lands from the kingdom. Surrounded by all sides, it was bound to happen... The royal guard, the king castle's army and the Crown Prince were busy defending the paradises, the lush few, far and between lands where most of the royalty's and upperclass' comforts were placed... The Crown Prince even extended his protection to the tribelands where Selene the huntress, his fiance, dwelled, which were also the bountiful terrain from which most of the commodities of the kingdom were obtained. The General's army was tasked with the important mission to exterminate the threat of the creatures (not the creatures themselves, mind you, as they were quite an effective means of control for the common populace). They had to find the creature's leader and kill it, to bring home a trophy and a victory. (Something the kingdom could celebrate on, and to prevent the kingdom's down...

About the Moon and the Tides

A season has passed since her fateful encounter and unexpected release. It was not as if there were no conflicting memories in her mind about her experience at the general's camp. Her mind was troubled, but as she settled herself back into her life as huntress, her mood seemed to wax and wane as the moon in the skies, and her mind drifted in and out of that period of endless time spent there, as the waves ebbed and flowed with the tides on the faraway beach that framed one of the limits of her tribe's assigned territory. Her betrothal to the royal family had also survive her absence. It seemed no-one but her knew of what had transpired through it, for which she was currently grateful.   The prince an...

Selene

Selene. Mercenary, huntress, Warrior. Fighting alongside the "expendables" amongst the clans, a runaway from her Clan, from the fate her Mother intended for her. Fleeing as far away as possible, hidden as best she could, from an engagement she did not look forward to. She did not even know a lot about her would-be fianceĆ©, -not more than any commoner of her people did, anyway- but she knew one thing: She did not want to become the possession of no one. Her independence and freedom were precious to her, too valuable to let them be stripped away by customs she did not agree with. Just because she had old blood flowing through her veins, of a lineage highly appreciated by her people, it did not mean she liked the idea of being another trophy to be hung from the walls of the great hall of a palace in one of the pure lands. She did not know a life of luxury, nor did she terribly long for it, but it had been none other than the heir to the leadership of the clans to whom she had ...
